I. Paleolithic Era or “Old Stone Age” (beginning of human existence - 10, 000 years ago)
During the Paleolithic Era, early humans were grouped into hunting-foraging bands. The hunting-foraging bands were relatively egalitarian, meaning men and women were viewed as equals. But men usually hunted, while women usually gathered fruits, berries, etc. Stone tools were used and had many applications, hence the name “Stone Age”. Early humans also used fire in many different ways i.e. cooking.
